What the program aims to do

What it can be used for
Through an accredited installer such as Tenet Tech, the program can support:
- Solar PV systems — rooftop solar to generate your own electricity and reduce costs.
- Battery storage systems — store excess solar for use during peak-price periods.
- EV chargers — a Level 2 home charger for electric vehicle charging.
- Switchboard upgrades — required in some cases to safely support solar, battery and EV charging equipment.
Who is eligible
You may be eligible for a Home Energy Saver loan if:
- Your property is located in NSW
- You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You own the property (as an owner-occupier or landlord)
- Your combined taxable household income is up to $210,000 per year
- The upgrade is an approved energy-saving technology
